The Government of Assam has been actively implementing the Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana (PMVDY) to enhance the livelihoods of tribal communities by integrating them into forest-based enterprises. This initiative focuses on providing support in quality control and product development to meet international market standards.

Pradhan Mantri Van Dhan Yojana (PMVDY) was launched on April 14, 2018, under TRIFED, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, to uplift tribal communities.
